Sharing Awareness for Intercultural Living (S.A.I.L.)

S.A.I.L. is an organization that was founded in September 2007 at Christopher Newport University.  CNU students go through a three-part training program to become diversity educators.  These educators then travel to schools in the Hampton Roads area to teach youth about the importance of embracing diversity and looking past stereotypes.  The S.A.I.L. program includes multiple interactive activities that encourage students to learn about themselves and their peers in an open-minded and inclusive setting. S.A.I.L. programs can be facilitated for any classroom K-12, as well as for any university club or class.  For more information, contact Shannon Oliver, Founder and President, at shannon.oliver.06@cnu.edu.
