Shannon Marie Oliver

                    Miss Virginia Beach 2008

On January 27, 2008, Shannon was crowned the new Miss Virginia Beach. She won the interview and talent portions, singing "O Mio Babbino Caro." In June 2008, Shannon was a top-11 semi-finalist at the Miss Virginia pageant (in association with the Miss America Organization). Her platform is "Hope for the Future: Cultural Togetherness." As Miss Virginia Beach, she will travel to schools and community centers in the Hampton Roads Area to teach youth about multiculturalism, along with making additional community appearances.
